High Tech Campus

Client: Philips Electronics Nederland BV

High Tech Campus Eindhoven is the smartest square kilometre in the Netherlands with over 125 companies and institutes and around 10,000 research staff, developers and entrepreneurs. The campus is a sustainable place, where interaction is taken for granted and everything revolves around working together on innovative technologies and products.

The establishment and continuous growth of the campus are the result of efforts by various parties including Philips Electronics Nederland. Philips, which in turn views the realisation of the campus as a way of building on its own future, was recently involved in work on 20 buildings on a site of around 100 hectares. This resulted in the realisation of 145,000 square metres of gross floor area, nine car parks, a sport and recreation centre and a facilities zone. In addition to its park-like nature the campus has seen the implementation of numerous sustainable measures. Brink Groep was approached by Philips to take on the project and process management, cost management and supervision.

Coordination of subprojects

The projects consist of various newbuild projects as well as several refurbishment projects. Philips commissioned Brink Groep to coordinate and supervise a broad range of work. Formulating and realising the overall accommodation requirement was not the only thing important in this context; project and cost management of the various projects and subprojects was also crucial to achieving the best possible end result.
